BRAIN FOG - POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS
Updated: 4 days ago
Each solution below links to its own post with detailed education on why it may help. My personal favorites are Burbur Pinella, Neuro Magnesium (L-threonate) and Yucca root. At my sickest, I had some extremely scary memory issues. Over time, with treatment and the solutions found below, I overcame this symptom.

OTHER WAYS TO SUPPORT A FOGGY BRAIN
Global Lyme Alliance shared these coping ideas in 2025:
- Work with a Lyme literate doctor on treatment. Treating the infections often helps symptoms ease.
- Rest. Brain fog can be a sign to slow down for a few days.
- Choose foods that calm inflammation and keep blood sugar steady.
- Drink plenty of water, with electrolytes.
- Try calming practices like gentle yoga or deep breathing. What calms one person may not calm another, so go with what feels right for you.
- Limit screen time, and avoid flashing lights and loud places when you can.
- Pace both your physical and mental activity.
- Some people also try neurofeedback, or manual therapy that supports lymph drainage.
- Glutathione, CoQ10 and essential fatty acids are also mentioned as supplements a Lyme literate doctor may recommend.

BEFORE YOU START
Talk with your doctor before adding anything, especially if you take medications, and add one thing at a time. If you take blood thinners, ask your doctor before adding omega-3s.
MY EXPERIENCE
- Burbur Pinella: I used it for many years, and it helped me countless times.
