I must use a quality electrolyte drink every single day or I have major issues. Now a quick Google search will show you it could be caused by Lyme, Babesia or RMSF but for me it comes down to POTS/Dysautonomia caused by them. Either way, I need them.
The cause is irrelevant for me because I treat the diseases and know I must take things to keep my electrolytes balanced. Always ask your doctor what they suggest. I have found many products work and many do not. I am always testing new ones to expand my suggestions. Plus I like to try new things. ORS work the best in me years ago, but Redmonds has worked great for me for months.
See our POTS post for more information on this topic. Top recommended electrolytes that work for me (and many) at bottom.
Some basics:
What is an ORS?
(I often need this type)
"Hydration and Electrolytes
One of the most overlooked headache issues is dehydration. Hydration-related headaches can happen even if you drink plenty of water. This is especially true if you are low in electrolytes.
Electrolytes help your cells get nutrients where they need to go. While most of us aren’t short on sodium, other electrolytes like potassium, magnesium, and calcium may be imbalanced. These deficiencies can lead to headaches and other issues."
