5. WHAT IS HERXING? (EASY TO WATCH VIDEO)

1. ALKA SELTZER GOLD helps alkaline the body, reducing inflammation and helping you detox.

*Dr. Horowitz's herxheimer-reducing recipe consists of:

1500mg liposomal glutathione

Juice of 1 lemon

2 Alka seltzer gold tablets

8 ounces of water

*I was told I could also use 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon Baking soda in water (NOT powder)

*I also found a product by Klaire called Bi-Carb that is a more affordable alternative to Alka Seltzer Gold. I plan to drink lemon water with it. Simply type Bi-Carb in search bar and it is 25% off here:

2. BINDERS

We have been taught that most binders should be taken at the same time and in general you never take binders near supplements, herbals or medication. I always use 2 binders together twice a day.

All top brand binders are 25% off here:

Short video to understand binders

Here are are most common binders used by the Lyme community:

ACTIVATED CHARCOAL (favorite when bad)

BENTONITE

CHLORELLA (my favorite)

PECTASOL C (my other favorite)

ZEOLITE

3. DETOX is vital when treating. Often times you must increase it during herxing. Tons of ideas here:

4. GLUTATHIONE I feel it is one of the most important things to take.

NAC is a precursor to glutathione and is often given when people cannot tolerate glutathione (if someone is sulfur sensitive)

5. WHAT IS HERXING? (EASY TO WATCH VIDEO)

"Lyme disease and tick-borne diseases are complicated illnesses and because of that, treatment can be complex. Patients who’ve gone through treatment will often say “your symptoms get worse before they get better.” One of the reasons for this is something called a Jarisch-Herxheimer reaction."

"A die-off reaction, also called a Herxheimer reaction, can occur when treating the Lyme germ, some co-infections, and yeast. It occurs as bacteria or yeast die during antibiotic treatment."
