MILK THISTLE
"Many mistakenly use the herb milk thistle to protect the liver and to support detox. The problem with this is milk thistle mainly supports Phase I detox. If Phase II detox is blocked then milk thistle leads to even greater toxin production. So this is where glutathione comes in. It supports both Phase I and Phase II detox. It can be used by itself to improve liver detox. Or it can be combined with milk thistle and other herbs." https://www.treatlyme.net/guide/glutathione-the

MIGRATORY PAIN IN LYME
"Another classic trait of Lyme disease is the migratory nature of the pain. The muscle and joint pain, as well as the tingling, numbness and burning sensations often tend to come and go and move around the body. For example, one day the joint pain might be in the knees and a few days later it may be affecting another nerve." Horowitz https://www.mindbodygreen.com/articles/signs-of-lyme-disease "One of the defining features of Lyme pain is that it’s migratory. This distinguish

MENSTRUAL CYCLES AND THE EFFECTS ON POTS
We decided to provide some information on this subject due to my personal experience. I woke 2 hours late with low BP, high pulse, and feeling super weak and dizzy. Not my normal experience except for a heavy cycle. Most of us know our cycles have an effect on our symptoms but it also makes POTS symptoms worse. Oh, the joys of being a woman. https://www.ahajournals.org/doi/full/10.1161/HYPERTENSIONAHA.110.151787 https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3413773 Related pos

MEDITERRANEAN DIET
In the beginning my Lyme doctor had me do the AIP (AUTO IMMUNE PALEO) diet, but he suggests the mediterranean diet to me now. "Every person’s experience with inflammation is different. While the anti-inflammatory diet follows some general guidelines for what to eat and what not to eat, it is more of a lifestyle than a strict regimen. The Mediterranean and DASH diets are both strong examples of how to eat anti-inflammatory foods." https://projectlyme.org/the-anti-inflammatory-

MEDITATION
My favorite: https://www.riseabovelyme.com/post/meditation-audio-to-help-anxiety-and-sleep A member mentioned she loved this source: https://www.redkitemeditations.com/meditations-1 "Most people have preconceived ideas about what meditation is and isn’t. There are several very different methods, which means there’s something for everyone." https://wellnessmama.com/health/meditation-benefits/ "Meditation may not be

MEDICAL CODES
I wanted to post some medical codes I used during my treatment to get insurance coverage in the past. I found them and wanted them here in case it helps someone when a doctor doesn't use enough codes or use or the right ones. I learned the more codes the better. I know there are plenty more that can be used but I notice he uses these in Igenix lab slips too. These helped get my PICC lines covered too. Please comment with successful codes that helped you get coverage please. S

MANGANESE
I was told to add this in supplement form when the lab results came in below. "Manganese 8mg MWF for 4 wks (might reduce to 2x/wk)." I'm still trying to grasp. I was told since Lyme does require manganese some people mistakenly think they should avoid taking it. THIS IS NOT CORRECT. Especially because the Lyme is using up your manganese, you should in fact supplement it. My LLND suggested the Pure Encapsulations brand so that is what I bought. Resources: "A manganese-rich env

MALERONE / ATOVAQUONE
This is one of many things I have used to treat Babesia. I used it for quite some time in combination with other things. Zithro, Alinia and natural stuff in particular. I was told to be watchful for any deep depression hitting and that I may not be aware when it happens so I informed 2 family members so they could help me identify. It did finally hit but not for 9 months. I was then instructed to stop it and add in Sunny Moods and CoQ10. That passed quickly. I was told you ca

MAKE A LIST
After everything I've been through, I am not going to wait to make my dream list and do what I can to try to fulfill mine. Life is too precious. I encourage everyone to make a list- it's how it starts happening. We must envision our dreams as the first step. It makes me happy to think about them. It used to help me refocus my mind on why I'm working so hard to heal. A list helps me remember all the wonderful things I want to do. My list is below (I never make it about my heal

LYMPH DRAINAGE
Here is an accumulation of many articles on lymphatic drainage. This subject comes up often and we wanted a very detailed post on the subject. We hope it helps you. Do Women have more cases of Lyme?
What we have heard and seen in commenting and research is women seem to get Lyme more. There are some common themes as to why this may be true. Hormone fluctuations seem to be at play due to monthly cycles and menopause. Women tend to be dismissed more often and not taken serious compared to men (not across the board, but more evidently). We often hear from men less often and they aren't as likely to seek community support through groups, etc. Possibly the way they are raised

IgG versus IgM
"IgG antibodies make up the majority of immunoglobulins in the blood (70-89%), while IgM account for about 15%... Another main difference is that IgM antibodies are the first line of defense that B-cells create, while IgG antibodies are secreted after prolonged exposure to a harmful pathogen. IgG antibodies form the basis for long-term protection against specific pathogens, like the bacteria that can cause Lyme disease." https://igenex.com/tick-talk/igg-vs-igm-antibodies-and-
