It is strongly advised to always consult a doctor before blindly supplementing with potassium. Many of us need more and could benefit from supplementing but some us should stick to food sources as there are risks depending on your health conditions. I have been advised to use the 99 one. Health benefits and recommended intake:

"A person should aim to get their potassium from a healthy, balanced diet that provides a range of vitamins and minerals. In some circumstances, a doctor may recommend supplements."

What does potassium do?

"This 99-mg limit is likely because many studies have found that high doses of potassium from supplements may damage the gut and even lead to death by heart arrhythmia."

Benefits of potassium:

"Potassium functions as an electrolyte inside our bodies: In water, an electrolyte dissolves into positive or negative ions that have the capacity for conducting electricity throughout the body "

"Hypokalemia means low blood potassium levels. Your body needs potassium to function correctly. It gets potassium through the food you eat. Hypokalemia is often caused by an excessive loss of potassium in your digestive tract due to vomiting, diarrhea or laxative use. Other causes include certain medications and some adrenal and genetic conditions."

"Minerals are essential for life, not just for us, but for all plants, animals, and even insects. Each of the minerals sodium, potassium, magnesium, and calcium, as well as the trace minerals iron, zinc, copper, chromium, manganese, molybdenum, selenium, and iodine must be consumed in the diet for optimum health."
