MYERS' COCKTAIL - VITAMIN IVs

Updated: Sep 9

I have done various vitamin IVs and it has always helped. Unfortunately it is so expensive, so I can't do it very often.

What about Vitamin IVs for Lyme?

"The first IV vitamin drips were developed and administered by Dr. John Myers in the 1970s. His research led to the popular Myers’ Cocktail. These types of infusions generally take anywhere from 20 minutes to an hour, and take place within a medical office with a licensed medical professional observing the infusion."

"This paper presents a rationale for the therapeutic use of intravenous nutrients, reviews the relevant published clinical research, describes the author's clinical experiences, and discusses potential side effects and precautions."

"The Myers' formula consists of high doses of B vitamins, vitamin C, and minerals (magnesium and calcium) mixed with sterile water."

"According to Myers' cocktail studies and reviews, since the cocktails are made of vitamins and minerals, they tend to be well tolerated by many patients. Since treatment is administered intravenously vs. passing the digestive system, higher concentrations of the vitamins are more easily absorbed and thus bioavailable to the body."

"A vitamin cocktail, known as a Myers’ Cocktail, can be used to improve immune function."

"When Dr. John Myers, a Baltimore physician, died in the 1980s, I took over the care of patients who had been receiving IV nutrients. To conform to more recent research, I modified the ingredients and dosages used by Dr. Myers, and the infusion was named the "Myers cocktail" in his honor."

"High-dose intravenous vitamin C is an effective treatment for infection with the Epstein-Barr virus."
