Feel free to share your experience using Lactoferrin with us. I was told if you get a response it often is delayed by I believe I was told 4 weeks. Needs building up maybe???? I was put on the Ecological Formulas brand seen below in pictures. It is 25% off making it $45 for 60 capsules. Allergy Research (spells it funny) charges $99 for 90. Very similar in milligrams. Both options are 25% but I'm sticking with Ecological as that is what I was told to take and slightly cheaper.
All brands of any supplement are 25% here:
Christina Christensen and I found so many resources on multiple benefits/uses. In my case babesia related for biofilm.
"Mini-review: Lactoferrin: a bioinspired, anti-biofilm therapeutic."
"Lactoferrin, a glycoprotein found in milk and at much higher concentrations in colostrum, has broad antimicrobial action against parasites, bacteria, fungi, and viruses. It has been shown to inhibit the growth of Babesia spp., one of the common co-infections, and has an inhibitory effect on bacterial biofilms, including that of B. burgdorferi. Lactoferrin has been shown to neutralize lipopolysaccharide (LPS),a primary contributor to the “die-off” reaction, also directly inhibiting the immune system response caused by LPS. Similar to cat’s claw, lactoferrin has been shown in several studies to decrease levels of TNF-α as well. https://allergyresearchgroup.blog/herbal-and-nutritional.../
"Dr. Ostrov’s study, which combined the antihistamine diphenhydramine (common name: Benedryl), and lactoferrin, a protein in milk, showed 99% efficacy in inhibiting replication of the SARS-CoV-2 virus. His research was published in the journal Pathogens."
"By virtue of these capabilities, LF performs a wide range of immune functions, ranging from direct killing of pathogens to modulation of inflammation."
"Our findings indicated that lactoferrin inhibits oxidative liver damage in LEC rats. Lactoferrin could be potentially useful for the treatment of oxidative stress-induced liver diseases."
"In conclusion, lactoferrin ameliorated pathological cardiac hypertrophy, potentially by improving the mitochondrial quality related to mitochondrial dynamics and the mitochondrial–lysosomal axis,"
"Lactoferrin has antiviral and antibacterial properties, and helps the body transport and absorb iron."
"Scientists have been investigating the role of lactoferrin for decades, and across the vast literature on the topic, there are three main areas where scientists agree that lactoferrin is hard at work: in supporting iron regulation, gut health, and immune function."
""Lactoferrin is used for treating stomach and intestinal ulcers, diarrhea, and hepatitis C. It is also used as an antioxidant and to protect against bacterial and viral infections. Other uses include stimulating the immune system, preventing tissue damage related to aging, promoting healthy intestinal bacteria, preventing cancer, and regulating the way the body processes iron."
"Inhibitory effect of lactoferrin on in vitro growth of Babesia caballi."
